DAY #2  Now 1100 miles from Carrollton in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Well, I'm not sure what we were expecting on the drive to the Mexican border, but it wasn't snow!  We hit some snow in Texas and then again in New Mexico.  Nothing major, but it looks like you will be getting this front tomorrow at home.  We are averaging 13 MPG. It seems putting 200+ pounds of luggage on the rooftop makes for less than desirable gas mileage.  I am sure our average speed does not help either.  The speed limit here is 75 mph and the drivers think that's a suggestion.  Cars continue to pass us even when we are doing well over the limit.  Thank goodness fuel prices are not $4/g now!  Kids are doing great with the travel so far.  We feel so blessed to have this experience with them.  Tomorrow we should be stopping just short of the Mexican border at Yuma, Arizona. .xoxo

Day #3 We will write more later, it is late and we have to get an early start tomorrow. Today we drove from Albuquerque NM to Yuma Arizona.  We stopped at Petrified Forest National Park.  We saw quite a bit of snow between Flagstaff and Phoenix.  Tomorrow, we head to the Mexicali border crossing and plan to drive to Guerrero Negro in Baja California.
